Thought for today:
We all know the story of the Prodigal son, but imagine you are the son, and God is the father in that parable. Do you respond to God’s mercy and forgiveness with acceptance like the son does? Imagine if the son in that story responded to his father the way you respond to God. How different would the message of that parable be?
Action for today:
Familiarize yourself with the Divine Mercy Chaplet, as given to St. Faustina by Jesus. It is a great step towards trusting Jesus and accepting His mercy.
Prayer for today:
Jesus, when I feel guilty for my sin even after confession, please help me to trust in Your mercy, and to accept Your love into my heart. Your blood washes away my sin more completely than anything else I could do to “work off my debt” or repay You. Thank You, Jesus. I love You.
Quote for today:
“I desire that the whole world know My infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy.” – Jesus Christ to St. Faustina Kowalska (CLICK TO TWEET)
