REFLECT – Jesus knows how we love and how we receive love. God chose to be born as an infant so that we might not fear drawing close to Him in love. That same God comes veiled in the Eucharist so that we might not fear coming even closer still—to consume Him as our food. God communicated to us His desire to be our food from that very first Christmas night. Jesus was placed in a manger, a place that holds food. At communion, Jesus is laid in our hearts where we receive Him in love and adore Him. And for most of us, He communicates His love in the silence of that union. O silent night!
SHARE – Ask the angels to join you as you sit in silence before the tabernacle today for 5-10 minutes. Invite someone to Holy Mass with you this Christmas. Share some silent time with a family member or friend in front of a manger scene and see the infant Jesus gazing at you in love.
PRAY – We want to invite you to pray the Litany of Trust with us at the beginning and end of each day. Click here to download the litany.
