During this week of our Easter journey, I want to challenge you to make an act of great courage and love by going to the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
St. John Paul II said that “confession is an act of honesty and courage – an act of entrusting ourselves, beyond sin, to the mercy of a loving and forgiving God.”
How does the Sacrament of Reconciliation play a role in your life? I want to encourage you to step back and examine the following things this week:
- Your attitude towards the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
- How often you go to Confession and how you prepare your heart to receive the Sacrament.
- How God is at work in your life and what is holding you back from him.
Get to Confession this week, but do it with a new resolve to surrender and entrust yourself to Jesus and his mercy.
“The Lord is more anxious to forgive our sins than a woman is to carry her baby out of a burning building.” – St. John Vianney
