SCRIPTURE – Today’s video is based on Mark 11:15-19. Here is an excerpt “‘They came to Jerusalem, and on entering the temple area he began to drive out those selling and buying there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves.”
REFLECT – When you love someone or something, you do what you must to protect it. Jesus makes a dramatic scene as he cleanses the temple, an act that includes flipping over tables. This act is more about love than anger and reminds us to look at how we protect our spiritual life and prayer time.
SHARE – Make an effort to get to church an extra time this week even if for a short moment of prayer and invite someone to join you.
PRAY – Lord, give me a greater passion for you and the things of you. I want my time with you to be the first desire of my heart each day and your love to be on my mind as I go to rest at night. I give you permission to surprise me today. Help me to see you in the people and situations I will encounter today. I give you this day. Amen.
