Thought for the Day:
Sometimes assessing and addressing the pain in our lives seems like the scariest thing possible. But, not only does Jesus know our hurts, He longs to heal them. His desire is that we would not be bound by pain but that we would experience the resurrection that awaits us beyond the crosses of our lives, so that, just as He said to Lazarus, His word over us can be: “untie him and let him go” (John 11:44).
Action for Today:
Ask the Lord for a memory or for an area of your heart that needs to be addressed. Write it down in a journal. Tell it to a friend. Or set aside a time to pray in which you imagine yourself physically holding it up to the Lord in your hands.
Prayer for Today:
Jesus, show me that you are who you say you are. Let me meet you today as the comforter. Give me the courage to walk with you through the pains of my life. Give me a deeper desire for freedom and let that journey towards freedom begin with honesty.
Quote for today:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18:
Be a Hero today – #ShareJesus:
Be a hero by showing that you are weak. Invite someone you trust into your life by being vulnerable enough to share a tough part of your life or story today. We often begin the process of healing and invite others into it by being real in our relationships.
