REFLECT – In South Texas where I live, we got quite the surprise on the feast of the Immaculate Conception. For the first time in 13 years…it snowed! Watching the soft, powdery white flakes fall, I was captivated by the surrounding stillness. It was a silence that wasn’t an absence, but more like a presence. And whenever I think of these last days of Advent, the thought of that same peaceful stillness is the first thing that comes to mind. Ironically, this can also be the busiest time of Advent what with all the Christmas parties and preparations!
SHARE – During this final week before Christmas, look for ways that God might be surprising you with silence, with intimate moments of quiet remembering that He is always with you. Be open to those moments and make space for them. Invite Him into the poverty of your heart. He came once to the poor and empty manger, and to the simple, humble hearts of Mary and Joseph. And he comes to you!
PRAY – We want to invite you to pray the Litany of Trust with us at the beginning and end of each day. Click here to download the litany.
