Before I am done one thing, I am already thinking about 7 other things. Christmas isn’t supposed to be just one more thing or just one day. Christmas is the next big thing. Even though your family get togethers maybe over over, don’t stop experiencing the grace of Christmas today.
It seems to me that Catholics, in general, are great at preparing in Advent and Lent, but when it comes to the celebrations of Christmas and Easter, it’s one day. Then it’s over. It’s not supposed to be that way. The season of Christmas runs liturgically through the Baptism of the Lord on Jan 10. For #ShareJesus we are hoping to help you reclaim the joy of Christmas by really celebrating the traditional 12 days of Christmas.
Today Fr. Larry Richards helps focus us on the humility of Jesus.
4 ways you can keep the celebration of Christmas alive for the 12 days of Christmas:
- Make a list of 10 things you are thankful for today and spend a couple extra minutes being thankful in prayer.
- Try to pray with one person each day the 12 days of Christmas.
- Pray for at least one member of your family who is far from God by name every day this Christmas season.
- Pray for humility today.
