SCRIPTURE – “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ [the Son of God]. The Preaching of John the Baptist. As it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way. A voice of one crying out in the desert: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.’” Mark 1:1-3
REFLECT – As we begin Lent, take stock of your relationship with Jesus. What is one thing going well? What is one thing that needs improvement? Revolve your prayer, fasting, and almsgiving around these things.
SHARE – As you discuss Lent with a co-worker or family member, use the conversation to ask people about what their relationship with God is like currently.
PRAY – Jesus, help me focus on you in a new way this Lent. Increase my desire for prayer and help me to know, love, and serve you in new ways during this season. Help me to share you with others. Amen.
