What We See in Jesus as He Suffers

March 22, 2016 by Sean Forrest 3 Comments

Sean Forrest #ShareJesus sufferingWhat does it mean to see Jesus suffer?  It means that our God loves us beyond anything we could imagine. It means that God is not a distant obscure miser but a close and personal savior. It means that we have a vision for the life of being a follower of of Jesus. It means out sins are a great offense again the Lord.

Watch the video:

4 Ways to Take This Offline:

  1. When you hear people speak of love remind them that Love is person…Jesus Christ
  2. Remind people that Just because something feels good that does mean that it is. Feelings can deceive. Love is seen in sacrifice.
  3. Never tire of preaching Christ crucified. It is powerful.
  4. Remind ourselves that Jesus suffered for our sins. Look at it. Sin is brutal.

Faith is Shaken

March 25, 2015 by Andy Lesnefsky Leave a Comment

Thank you. I really do mean that. I’ve been extremely blessed to see a vision that the Lord gave me come to fruition this Lent and that would not be possible without you. 4 months ago, the idea of #ShareJesus only existed in my mind. I didn’t ask speakers to make videos until the beginning of December and had no mailing list before January. #ShareJesus is a movement of over 1 Million video views and a reach on Facebook that’s bigger than any other Lenten program. To God be the glory!

Sean Forrest blog 2 #ShareJesusI wanted to also encourage you to dream big about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Redeemed Online is not some large ministry or conglomerate of people. I am thankful for the yeses of our amazing speakers and my friends Lauren and Brian that have helped with a couple of the daily emails to make this possible. I am especially thankful for the daily help of my amazing video editor (and videographer for the local Pittsburgh speakers) Angelo Re and my amazing editor-in-chief for my writing, my wonderful wife Katherine. The rest of the backend with the website, youtube, videos, Facebook and Twitter posts and content are handled by yours truly. I tell you all this to encourage you that we are just at the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is possible in the Church with social media. Let’s continue to dream big and share the gospel with passion!

I’ve got some exciting follow up projects that I am working on and discerning the next steps. Probably, the question I get asked most is “have you considered continuing these daily videos?” While we won’t be doing a daily a video, I am excited to share we will have two blog posts per week and one weekly #ShareJesus video based on the upcoming Sunday’s readings.

Today, Sean Forrest (@Realseanforrest) reminds us today that in the darkest of moments, God is there.

Sharing Online

A simple #ShareJesus daily goal: two posts: one with the video and one without.

Don’t forget to use the #ShareJesus with each post.

Remember: #ShareJesus is about a commitment to evangelize. On a scale of 1 -10 how are you doing at sharing your faith this Lent? What can you do to make a fresh commitment to sharing the good news this Lent?

On Social Media today consider these questions:

  • What’s one tragedy or hard time in your life that God helped you get through?
  • How exactly have you experienced God in the difficult situations in your life?

Are you following us on Facebook? Twitter? Instagram? Pinterest?

From Twitter please use the Youtube link http://youtu.be/imy8KRt2ojE  with your posts and don’t forget to RT our tweets.

Taking it Offline

  • Share with someone a difficult moment in your life where you saw God at work.
  • Encourage a friend that’s wandered away from the Lord to come back.
  • Continue to pray for those who you want to share the Lord by name with over Lent.

Sean reminds us in the today’s video don’t wait for the next tragedy to strike in your life to turn to Him. Grow in your relationship with Jesus today. Be encouraged that God is for you and not against you.

The good news is too good to keep to yourself. Share it today.

The Meaning of Life

March 11, 2015 by Andy Lesnefsky 1 Comment

Flowers, new life, love…what are the things that make you smile about spring? I love that feeling of the first really warm day when you know summer is just around the corner. Spring is an exciting time of year in many ways.

Sean Forrest #ShareJesus blogLent literally means “spring.” We have had crazy winters all of over the US, so it may not feel like spring where you live, but we are called each Lent to a new springtime in our faith. God wants to bring the newness of life into your heart this Lent. Have you taken the risk to let Him?

One of the questions, Sean Forrest (@Realseanforrest) asks is what are you waiting for? Have you said yes to the Lord in a new way this Lent? God is always greater than our imaginations and always calls us closer to Himself in new ways.

The good news is too good to keep to yourself. Share it today!

Sharing Online

#ShareJesus daily goal: two posts: one with the video and one without.  Don’t forget to use the #ShareJesus with each post.

Remember: Sharing Jesus isn’t a compartmentalized thing we do. We should share Jesus with or without #ShareJesus in our posts. What I mean by that is all we do on social media should glorify God. Don’t use it for gossip or pride or tearing people down. Let’s seek to bring Jesus into every aspect of our lives and actions.

On Social Media today consider these questions:

  • What does it mean to say yes to God? How have you done that?
  • In your own words what is the meaning of life?

Are you following us on Facebook? Twitter? Instagram? Pinterest?

Don’t forget on Facebook, please share the video from our Facebook page. This way you’ll get a lot more views than if you share a Youtube link on Facebook.

From Twitter please use the Youtube link https://youtu.be/M5_5gjvtZlQ with your posts and don’t forget to RT our tweets.

Taking it Offline

  • Use the question, “What’s the meaning of life?” as a discussion starter today. Listen first before sharing.
  • Challenge a fellow Christian to make a commitment along with you to grow more in your faith. Ask them to hold you accountable to this decision.
  • Continue to pray for those who you want to share the Lord by name with over Lent.

“Jesus is the one who brings God to us and us to God. ‘Put on Christ!’ in your life, and you will find a friend in whom you can always trust; ‘put on Christ’ and you will see the wings of hope spreading and letting you journey with joy towards the future; ‘put on Christ’ and your life will be full of his love; it will be a fruitful life.”  –Pope Francis

Say yes to the Lord today. Life is too short not to. #ShareJesus today!
