Thought for Today:
All too often we can become overwhelmed by our responsibilities and prayer is just “one more thing.” In actuality, the Lord just wants us. Do not be afraid to go to him with open hands and an open heart. It is in giving up our control that he can do his best work.
Action for Today:
Begin your prayer today by inviting the Lord to take over and lead your heart how he desires. Warning: Giving him permission could wreck your life, but that is only so that he can rebuild you as he desires.
Prayer for Today:
Lord, I give you permission: take over my life. Without you, I can do nothing, not even pray. I place my trust you, let your will be done in me.
Quote for Today:
“Prayer is the raising of one’s mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God.” But when we pray, do we speak from the height of our pride and will, or “out of the depths” of a humble and contrite heart? He who humbles himself will be exalted; humility is the foundation of prayer, Only when we humbly acknowledge that “we do not know how to pray as we ought,” and are we ready to receive freely the gift of prayer. “Man is a beggar before God.” – Catechism of the Catholic Church 2559 (CLICK TO TWEET)
Be a Hero Today – #ShareJesus:
DO something for another person in order that he or she can simply BE. Anticipate a need, do something without being asked, use your time to provide them with more time and space to encounter Jesus.
